It’s been a bit since I’ve updated our blog. It’s also been a busy summer for our foundation and myself. In the past few months, we’ve participated or helped out with several art shows in the region.
In order to move forward, I’ve come to realize that I need to step aside as the Executive Director for the VAF, and pursue the position of Art Director. As an artist, I came to grips with my lack of business expertise and ADD.
We are looking for someone with time/drive to follow through on that side of the VAF. All the building blocks are there and ripe for the taking. Thanks to Patrick Barton, we have some ideas for grants from local foundations.
I’ve also finalized a business plan, that I’m taking to S.C.O.R.E to finalize and present to the Veterans Administration to fund our equipment needs.
