Back From Canada

I spent the last 4 days in the middle of nowhere, Canada.  My family’s had a tradition of going up to a island at Westlemkoon (sp) lake since 1960.

My grandfather’s best friend still summers up in a small cottage there.  It’s fun to talk to him.  He was a WW2 navy veteran and has quite different philosophies on life than me.  It’s sad that everyday large numbers of WW2 vets leave us.

We need to cherish those vets before it’s too late.  Spend some time with vets from past wars.  You may learn something.
